Day 292
Totally kidding of course. She actually hates the smell of beer and she moves away from it.
Day 291
I stopped by Starbucks this morning (Cambie and Broadway location) and a very nice man called Derek left his gift card to pay for the orders of the next three people. He was two people ahead of me so by the time I ordered, he was already gone and I couldn't thank him. But what a randomly kind gesture. Thank you, Derek, for showing me (and others) that there are still some kind hearted people left on our planet.
Day 290
Firstly, I can't believe my year of blogging is nearing its end!! Thank you to anyone (Bobby!) who reads my blogs of nonsense.
Anyway, today, I helped my coworker with something and he thanked my by emailing a picture of unicorns and rainbows. Unicorns. And. Rainbows. So random but I likey and now I feel the urge to colour.
Day 289
This year, I told Bobby that we had to make each others' Valentine's Day present and that we cannot spend more than 20$ on this. Bobby can't make things without buying new tools (sometimes, I think he starts projects just so he can buy new tools) but I told him if he spent any money on tools, it would count against the 20$ we were allowed to spend.
Today I bought the supplies I need for Bobby's present. I can't wait to make it (thank you Pinterest!!!). I can't upload a pic since Bobby is my one and only follower. I'll be sure to blog about the present after I give it to him though :)
In the mean time, here is my Kiwi Keys chilling out in her towel.
Day 288
So... I was pretty hung over from Janice's birthday party. It was at Clough Club which is a fancy cocktail place in Gastown. We all had sooo much fun. But yea I went to bed feeling sick and woke up feeling sick... ugh...
My new hangover cure is waking up semi early (eg.. not being lazy and waking up at noon even if I didn't hit the hay until 330am), going to Granville Island for some calamari (mmmmm), then walking to Parallel Forty Nine for some caffeine and donuts. I felt soooo much better after all the fresh air.
Day 287
Today is my friend Janice's 30th birthday party. Since she is a knitting fiend, her husband requested that we buy her yarn. Her favorite store is all the way on the other side of Vancouver... but we made sure to stop for Milestone's California eggs benny (with shrimp, bacon and guacamole). Its sooooo good!!
Day 284
Earlier this week, I finally cracked my new only for wedding notes notebook open and made a list of things we need to do for our wedding. I never realised how much you need to plan and how expensive certain aspects of a wedding are (wedding offociants can cost up tp 1200$!! I am in the wrong profession clearly!!)
Day 282
I've started meal planning for the week before grocery shopping because I find that it prevents me from wandering the grocery store aimlessly.
On the plate (actually, in the bowl tonight): chicken stir fried with broccoli, mushrooms and orange pepper. Served with rice. Yummy :)
Floral, when done tastefully, looks girly in a fun way, and not in an outdated, way |
The inside is polka dots! |
I thought the candle holder was cute. The candle scent is not that great. I'm not a candle person in general thou |
I can't wait to fill this notebook with my wedding ideas! |
Day 280
We went to Coquitlam today for more apartment hunting. We were supposed to meet our realtor at Coquitlam Centre... so as per usual, I hit up Target (I was good and I didn't buy anything).
... or not!!
Day 277
I get an hour and 15 minute break every day and sometimes, its just too damn long. You can only to Michaels or Winners so much before everything becomes bland... anyway so I spiced up today's break by hitting up shoppers. I specifically only buy biolifes mango tangerine all purpose cleaning spray because its all natural and it smells nice. I also only specifically buy it when its on sale (and it was today! Woo hoo).
Anyway, since I was out on the town, I also bought cat treats for my two non-cat hedgies and foil because Bobby likes to bbq things and we go through a lot of foil. #livinglarge
Ps: I knew foxes were cool even before the what does the fox say song came out as evidenced by my fox bag
Day 276
Bobby and I have been watching Caprica, a sci fi show shot in Vancouver 4+ years ago before getting cancelled. The show goes on and on about the infinity symbol representing the STO (or something like that)... and it turns out that the STO lives on in downtown, Vancouver ;)
Najin brought her little fluff ball Toby. We LOVE Toby |
Yesterday: Chaos on the outside.. Kiwi on the inside (so cute that they sleep belly to belly!) |
Yesterday: Eventually, Kiwi found herself on the outside... |
Oh hey there Kay Kay |
Kiwi says: What are you looking at?! |
Day 271
Trying to find a creative way to scrapbook all 14 advent calendar notes (yes 14, nrxt year I am requesting for 24. I seriously looked forward more to these notes moreso than the chocolates!).
Bobby wrote on both sides of the paper so I can't just glue these down.... hmmm....
We started the day ice skating. I really wanted someone to take a photo of my and Bobby ice skating together, but I didn't know who I could ask/trust with a camera... You never know in Manhattan ;) |
I seriously had no idea we were being followed all over Central Park. Looking back, I feel like such a celeb now! |
Happiest moment of my life (so far!) |
Yay New York! |
Day 267 (part 2)
We met up with Brad, Janice and Luca at Pacific Spirit Park today. We enjoyed a nice short walk along the trails. The weather was gorgeous - it was sunny but a bit cold. We all hit up Alibi Room and a few more friends showed up. We ended up eating dinner there as well.
Day 267
I woke up early today (still kind of suffering from the slight time change difference) and I found teeny tiny Chaos snuggling with Kiwi. I LOVE how her teeny tiny leg is on top of Kiwi.... ahhh I love my hedgies!!
Day 265
Technically, I was back on the best (I mean, west) coast yesterday but today is my first full day home. I had to work today and work is busssy but its nice to get back intp the groove :)
I love Manhattan and New York will always have a special place in my heart. (Bobby and I spent our first anniversary in New York and we got engaged in New York!!) However, not even the tallest building or the most gigantic real Christmas tree ever in Manhattan can even begin to compare with Vancouver's North Shore maintains!
Day 264
Sitting in the San Francisco airport (leeching wifi off of Bobby because their wifi sucks!)... finally made it after a one hour and 20 minute delay at JFK because all planes needed de-icing. We travelles 4100+ km and back three time zones. Next stop: Vancouver!
Day 263
Firstly, Happy 2014 everyone!!
The last day of this trip was reserved for shopping. My mom requested a New York City tote bag, my dad wanted a New York Yankees shirt (Jeter) and I also bought my mom and my brother some candy from the M&M store. For myself: I bought a sweater from Aritzia and a mug from Starbucks.
