Life, lately!

So Bobby made the comment that I had not blogged in a very long time. I have so many things I want to blog about.. but have been to busy with other things, that I have neglected Blogger!

Today, I resolve to write one long post about everything I wanted to mention... Read on if you are willing to lose 30 minute of your life ;)

So Christmas has come and gone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!! Bobby and I spent Christmas at my parents' house, and then we spent 5 days south of the border. The first two nights, we were in South Washington - we stayed at the cuuuutest BnB and we visited the coast. Bobby goes cray cray for the Pacific Ocean, hence the pit stop in a relatively unknown town.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Bobby running around the shore like a mad person!
After taking a break from city living, we headed for Portland. Oh yes, one of our favorite cities ever! Unfortunately, the Canadian Dollar is so low right now. Portland is such a great city for shopping... but... 1 USD is 1.44 CAD... so shopping was not worth it unless the item was at least 40% off (luckily, that was case for the sale items at Anthropologie!). Anyway, we timed it so that we spent New Years Eve in Portland. I reserved a table at a bar and I figured we could slowly eat our way into midnight so we could ring in the new year at the bar (like we did two years ago in NYC). Well, that plan didn't work out. We ordered appies, got full off of that, and then our entrees came RIGHT after, so we ate that... and then we wanted to die. The good news is that our hotel was two blocks away. The bad news is, we had to leave the bar so we wouldn't be forced to eat/drink anymore, and so we could relax in our pjs... So we settled the bill and went back to the hotel. We planned on coming back around 11:30pm and participating in the countdown, which we did, like troopers! And the bar transformed into a club, complete with drunken fights and people passing out, beer in hand. It was hilarious. So we made for the countdown, drank our celebratory beer (Bobby)/champagne (me) and then we went home. We were seriously there for an hour tops :P

And now, I am back to work.. and trying to get back into colouring to de-stress. Bobby got me this awesome Helly Kitty colouring kit for Christmas. And I also have another colouring book. I put the colouring book away a few months ago because my hand was starting to hurt from colouring so hard (I need to press REALLY hard with the pencil crayons so that the colours show nicely :))... so today, I picked up some markers. Hope this relieves the extra stress I am giving myself when trying to de-stress :P

Speaking of Hello Kitty... and as I've mentioned previously, I love nail polish! I am not a make up person (I am terrible at applying make up), but I feel naked if my nails aren't painted! Anyway, I have amassed a crap load of nail polish, and I recently threw out a lot of bottles that had dried up... so I've been really conscientious of NOT buying anymore nail polish and using up the ones I already have. So there I am, minding my own business... when I get the email that OPI has launched a Helly Kitty Line. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. The colours are soooo cute. I think there are 12 colours in total, and I want 5 of them. But I was really good and only got two.... for now ;)

Spoken from the Heart and 5 Apples tall

And that is that.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic 2016 so far! :)
