Summer!!!

Day 81

Its finally sunny and 25+ degrees in Vancouver! I am a little bit sunburned so I picked up some lotion sunscreen. I've been using the spray one but I find that it irritates my sunburn while the lotion one helps soothe.

In totally related news: I am making fresh iced tea to help combat this heat!

My iced tea recipe: fresh brewed orange pekoe (tetley or whatever you have), fresh lemons and a splash of ginger ale for a hint of sweetness :)

Vacation blues

Day 80

Exhausted today and suffering from post vacation blues. Celebrated Aleks' champagne birthday last night! Worked 12:30-8:30 today which isnt bad except that I woke up at 7am because it was so hot. Damn heat wave!

Anyway, missed these two tiny terrors (Chaos is tiny and Kiwi is the terror) very.much over the weekend!

Day 79/Whistler Day 5

Happy 146th birthday Canada!!!

We ended up staying an extra night in Whistler in order to enjoy the nice weather. It was 30 degrees from Saturday on!!!

We enjoyed celebrating Canada Day with fellow Canadians in lower village. They had a parade and free music.

Hiked the train wreck trail today. Super easy trail with an actual train wreck at the end. Nice view along the way too!

Went ziplining today! It was super fun and the tour guides were all awesome!!

Made it to Whistler after a pit stop in Squamish to drop things off to Bobbys mechanics.

Tonight we are taking it easy. We chilled in the village and now we are having drinks and food at Longhorn Saloon and Grill. 

Tomorrow is when the real adventure starts.  We are signed up for ziplining at 10am. Hope its sunny!!!!

Packing for the weekend

Bobby and I are going to Whistler this weekend so I am packing! Super pumped for this trip!! It'll be filled with ziplining, hiking, spa-ing fun :)

The Clinique CC Cream!!!!

I first heard about the CC cream in early April or so. I was at Macy's in Bellingham and it had not yet launched in the US. It was due to come out in May. When I was in Portland last month, they had it but I talked myself out of buying it because I still had foundation. Well I've regretted not buying this ever since! And today it has finally launched in Canada. Its so new that when I went to Sephora, all of the testers were still sealed and none of the sales people knew much about it. So I hit up the Clinique counter at The Bay for help and finally bought it!

The reason I've been dying to get my hands on this is because I am not hugely into makeup. I am horrible at putting it on and the main reason I wear foundation is for the sunscreen benefits it provides. The CC cream is more of a tinted moisturizer with an SPF 30. I'm fortunate enough to not have acne and relatively even skin tone so there really is no reason to wear heavy foundation (except for the SPF!)

I got the shade Light Medium... and the sales lady gave me this cute key chain :)

Cleaned the apartment today... and also bathed the two tiny terrors.

Kiwi and Chaos hate baths. HATE. They always freak out the minute you put them in water and then they crap all over the place which is why I have to bathe them one at a time.

Bobby and I hit up Rogue in Gastown in hopes that it would be as good as the Rogue in Portland. It was not... On the plus side, I got a cool tiki man glass!

The Donald was in town and he announced plans to build a building which will feature Vancouver's first pool bar. I hope it will be similar to XS in Vegas. That pool bar is awesome!

Strange staircase

Day 67

Working in the Crosstown area this week and I hit up London Drugs on West Hastings for some drug store stuff. Saw this fancy spiral staircase and thought it was cool. Note that the very top leads to nowhere :/. This would've been way cooler if it was a slide!!
