Super relaxed.. only to be reduced to tears

Day 109

I just had a free mini facial at Origins in The Bay Pacific Centre. (Free meaning you don't get charged for the facial but you feel compelled to buy some products after!). So now my skin feels great and I feel relaxed...

Now I'm waiting to get my eyebrows threaded. This ALWAYS makes me cry.

Another day, another package in the mail!

Day 108

Ive been doing a lot of online shopping lately that pretty much every other day, I get an email telling me to pick up my parcel at my local Canada Post.

Today's package is one that I have been waiting for for a very long time!!! Its my Sephora package!! I bought the Too Faced Workday to Weekend collection. This eye kit is sold exclusively at sephora.com. I also got an OPI nailpolish called "Its all about me". Sephora is clearing out their Sephora for OPI collection, so I got the nail polish for hald off (6$) Its supposed to be highlighter pink.  Then I got samples.

The eye kit cost 78$ CAD (65$ USD but im used to the Canada mark up). The kit is totally worth it though because Too Faced eye shadows are normally 45$ and the brush set is 39$. And the kit also includes mascara, eyeliner and primer!

Can't wait to try all of these!

Day 107, part two

Blah!

Day 107

Worked 12-8:30 today. We had staffing issues and I had computer issues so work was more tiring as well. Working at 8:30 am tomorrow at my new place (first day of training) so I'm having a quick drink then hitting the hay! Here's a lego spice rack update. The second block is all primed and ready for painting!

Sunday Funday!

Day 106

My parents, and my cousin and his family came to downtown today. Bobby and I met up with them at the Olympic Torch... and that's where the day of fun under the sun began!

Bobby with his coffee...in front of a bouncy house...on Granville Street!
My mom bought us all tickets to see the Fly over Canada tour. It was pretty impressive. We live in such a beautiful country! However, the actual "tour" part was so short. Only 10 minutes or so. It was very well done though.

We then hit up Pacific Centre, and then Granville Street. Here's a super awesome festival going on!

My parents and my cousin and his family then went back to Suburbia. Bobby and I continued to walk along Robson Street. We ended up having dinner at the Banana Leaf on Robson. Their food is always amazing!

Home now and I found Chaos peeking out of her house. She's such an adorable hedgie!!

Good times at the Bay

Day 105

Bobby needs some new shorts, so we hit up his new favorite store: the mens department at the Bay Pacific Centre.

I like tagging along because they give free coffee. However, today, I was in for a treat: free vodka cranberry drinks!!

We then hit up Wings on Granville for wings (duh) and drinks. I had such an awesomely refreshing iced tea (grape vodka with iced tea and lemonade and mint). Soooo yummy!!!!

Now I'm at home debating on whether I want to battle the crowds at tonight's fireworks.....

Day off!

Day 102

So I've been working weekends and will be working Saturdays until my new job starts August 19. My weekends have been Tues/Weds or Weds/Thurs, which is nice but also kinda sucks cause no one is usually free on those days.

So anyway, it was my day off today so I had scheduled my yearly doctor visit today. But first, I stopped off at my dentist's clinic to settle a billing confusion. Then I wandered around downtown to enjoy the sunshine and check out the summer sales. Surprisingly didn't buy anything!

Never park on Robson Street! Especially in the afternoon M-F!!! You will be towed promptly after 3pm
Yearly visit to see Dr. Chen
My doctor's clinic is on West Broadway. Bobby came to get me after because the car-less and the bus pass-less have trouble getting around the parts of town that are not in the downtown core where she currently lives...

We had dinner at the Manchester Pub. Yay wing night Wednesdays!

Lego spice rack update!

Day 100

Firstly, 100 days of blogging has gone by really quickly!!!

Here's a lego spice rack update. The first block is pretty much complete. We are planning to buy new spice jars from my new favorite kitchen on robson st. Ones where we can paint the lids red for a more uniform look.

The second block construction is well underway. I just respackled it. Hopefully it will be ready for priming tomorrow!!!

Lego spice rack update... again

Day 95 Part two

I finished priming the first block this morning and Bobby painted it red. Its starting to look awesome!!

Strange/Useless gate

Day 95

While wandering the streets of downtown doing errands today, I came across this strange gate at the Art Gallery.

Notice, there is no fence currently surrounding the Art Gallery (Georgia St side between Howe and Hornby) so really this gate seems quite useless and 100% esthetic?

Lego spice rack update!

Day 94 Part two

Hit up Home Depot for some painting stuff. Finally painting the first block tonight!!

First layer of primer on!!

Lindemans Framboise

Day 94

Finally opened this bottle, my last unopened bottle of beer from Portland. Its only okay - its got a sour after taste. I prefer the apple flavour, or Fruli :)

2$ grande iced drinks at Starbucks

Day 93

I had an interview at 10am and I am working from noon until 8:30 tonight. I'm starting to feel tired so I got an iced coffee to a) help wake me up, and b) help cool me down!!

Apparently the barista at the Starbucks on Howe and Helmcken couldn't be bothered to stir my drink

Biere and 'za

Day 92

Lazy Sunday after a weekend of festivities. Can't believe the weekend is over again!!!

Brewery tour

Day 91 (a day late - I am falling behind on blogging!)

For Bobby's birthday, I bought him a craft beer brewery tour. A few friends joined us and so we boarded a bus early this morning for an amazing brewery tour around the lower mainland. We hit up Parallel 49 first, then drove over the second narrows bridge into the beautiful North Shore to have lunch at Crab Shop immediately followed by a tour of Bridge Brewery. We headed back to Vancouver and hit up Granville Island Brewery and finished the tour up at Pat's Pub, which had an amazing fruity stout.

Bobby keeping it classy by bringing in a Caffe Artigiano coffee into a Starbucks

First brewery: Parallel 49. I stopped taking pics because we were all too busy drinking AND checking in our beers on Untappd
With the bday boy
I forced Bobby to drink "Restore" vitamin water after the brewery tour and before the party
CAKE!!!
Huge thank you to WildSide Tours for the amazing brewery tour today. The staff are awesome and the people on our bus were equally awesome, therefore making the tour fun!

Hope you had an amazing day, Bobby!

Bobby's birthday continued

Day 88 part two

Birthday cupcake for the birthday boy! (Real cake to come on Sat for the party with friends)

Happy birthday, Bobby!!!

Day 88

It's Bobby's birthday today!!!!! I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said wild boar bacon (we saw some in a specialty meat store while roaming in Kits one day) with pasta with a side of crunchy asparagus with cream cheese wontons.

Wild boar bacon I purchased from a store called Jackson's Meat and Deli on West 4th Avenue

Making the asparagus
Crunchy like fries!
Bobby excited for his pasta
Wild boar in interesting. I can definitely cross off "eat something I have never eaten before" off my bucket list :)

Anyway, a very happy birthday to Bobby! Hope all of your wishes come true!

Sunday Funday!

Day 85

So it is officially the start of Bobby's birth week!

Took it easy today. Did a mini shopping trip while Bobby got a hair cut. Then I had to go to Poco to drop off my mom's recently fixed computer. It didnt have its box anymore, so we had to be creative in protecting it during the 30+ minute drive from downtown to suburbia:
